Ok so I installed a pinoneer 7000bt in a 2001 civic ex about four months ago, everything worked fine no problems, I just realized that I forgot to remove a cd from the old player, I take it out get the cd out and them re-install the pioneer, does not work anymore, won't turn on or anything, I did manage to blowthe fuse and that was replaced all other related fuses are ok, I also lost my power lock capability both with remote and the interior door lock button( only way to lock is outside with key)...nothing was changed during the reinstall....anyhelp here???

it is either a fuse or a fried wire.. i think it has got to be a fuse....how did you check your fuses? did you just look at them or did you use a DMM( fuses can blow and it can be such a small split in it that you can not see it) also check your fuses under your hood. if it is not that you may have fried something ( though i highly doubt that)

i say you should bring it to a shop and let them diagnose and install b/c from the sounds of it you dont know what you are doing if you are blowing fuses and losing door lock capabilities installing a head unit.

Ok so the inside door lock button does work(key has to be ignition), the remote still doesn't(however it did work before this fiasco), it was really windy the day this happened and I'm Pretty sure the neg cable hit the battery post hence blowing my fuse, the fuse that was blown was interior car fuse not one attatched to hu...I will test other fuses as I did only visually check...saying I don't know what I'm doing doesn't help me if you feel you are superior to my knowledge please share that's why I am here

Fuses all have checked fine...I have tried to hook factory back up and again does not work which leads me to suspect wireing issues? Any other suggestions?

Yes, it was designed with the help of Steve at Amp Medics. They are great amps, I have many friends that run them.
