did the big 3, now I have problems with my system.

I did the big 3, (system is in sig) and now my amp wont come on. It works fine, then i'll turn my truck off and turn it back on and it wont come on. My deck works fine but I have no sound. My big 3 consists of:

battery (-) to frame ground

battery (+) to alternator (+)

engine block to ground on firewall

Im thinking it has something to do with a ground or positive current, maybe I did the big 3 wrong and it's messing with my amps power? Im getting so pissed off at my truck right now it's not even funny. I need this fixed asap!!! Thanks in advance guys!

did you blow the fuse on the power wire to your amp when you reconnected your battery? check all fuses and wiring.

fuses are good, it works fine sometimes, then other times the amps wont come on.

Also, I forgot to hook up my trucks positive battery cable (the oem one) and the truck started fine and everthing worked, this makes me think I did the big 3 wrong.

Hows your amps ground, I've had amps do that and its always been the ground, either redo it or secure it. If thats not the problem then I'm not sure.

Start disconnecting them one at a time to figure out which connection gave you a problem would be my suggestion. Did you keep the OEM cables running to the battery or completely replace them during the big 3. I'm think maybe [engine block to ground on firewall] but thats just my guess I only did the the ground and alternator cables on mine.

You might just go ahead a replace the fuses. I've had some fuses partially blow, where they look fine and sometimes connect, but after I took them apart it was apparent that they had started to burn through.

Also, ensure that your alternator (+) to battery (+) is actually the positive on the alternator. Not meaning to insult your intelligence, it's just sometimes hard to tell with all those wires.

I didnt to engine to frame.

in some cars you have to keep ALL OEM wiring

and not delete any of them. so instead of REPLACING the 3 wires, just ADD to them.

i didnt take anything oem off, just ran new wire, Update: I undid all the big 3 wires, took them out of my truck and all, and after watching my amp, it works perfect (amps power light blinks 5-6 times then stays on and works) when the key is turned on acc ( 1 step before starting the truck), it blinks 5-6 times but when I start it it wont come on (light goes off after blinking).
