Did I wire this right?

so i finally hooked up my amp today to get my sub workin, here's what i did.

ive got a Cadence Q3000, im using my stock ford 6 disc HU (i know, i know), which doesnt have a pre-amp out, so i spliced into into one of my rear speakers to plug into my hi-input.

for output, on the amp itself it noted that bridged would be L+ and R-, so thats where i put the leads.

now since i got the amp used from a friend i had no manual to refer to. the sub isnt very much louder than before when i had it hooked up to one channel of a 240x2 amp (basically 120w), and i was wondering if thats because of the way the input is, or if i need to put a jumper between the L- and R+ outputs, or what. i do have the gain turned all the way up, and i have the LP X-over set right as well.

my sub is old, yes, but it is still in good shape. its a 25th anniversary kicker competition. its rated at 300w, which is what the amp should be putting out...300w at 4ohm bridged. i just wanna make sure i hooked it up right. thanks guys!

Sounds like you wired it right. Part of it may be your head unit. And that really isn't a huge increase in power.I'm guessing you just had your expectations set a little too high for switching out amps.

probly. i just figgured that doubling the power would at least make it a little louder than before. it is a LITTLE louder, but not by much.
