Did I just get ripped off on junk?

My guess is, you wired them to .5.
Nope. Voice Coils are in series and subs in parallel. Final load of 2 ohm. They have been securely wired for like for just over a year for my class ab amp. Kicker CVR's wouldn't take it at .5 ohms either.

Edit: Setup is in my sig. Subs are dual 2 ohm cvr's.

Well I guess I can kiss my dream of running a PG TI12D Elite at 2k away. I might as well not even buy the sub now. I'm back to running junk cvrs on a 800 watt rms amp made for tweets and mids lol. I'm sick of this every time I try to get something going good I get ripped off.

Have you contacted the seller?

And test that sub on a different amp again to be sure it's not your install or the sub..

You will be out more money if you don't pay to ship them back to the seller. Talk to the seller maybe he will cover shipping.

You bought refurb'd amps.. Good chance they blew once before that's why they are now refurbs.. They could have been repaired poorly..

I have not. I just went straight with a paypal dispute. Should I just ohm my wires with the dmm before I hook my old amp back up?

Edit:

My old amp I was using is a Tidus Titanium TM400.4. I was running each sub at 4 ohms bridging the 4 channels down 2 and getting max power of it. It it a surf board that put outs out some good class ab power. Specs are:

110x4 4 ohms

220x4 2 ohms

440x2 4 ohms bridged

CEA-2006

90x4 4 ohms

180x2 2 ohms

360x2 4 ohms bridged

Edit 2: Why does it take so long for my post to show up in the thread?

And here we have another uneducated responce about Lightning Audio. Storm Series amplifiers were **** nice.
his amp is a strike series not the better storm series (which hasnt been made since 2004 IIRC)

the storm series was the last good amp they made as far as I am concerned.

my opinion is just that tho an opinion.

Yah you can check the ohms with your dmm. Better than risking another amp incase the sub did some how get damaged.

Filing a dispute immediately is not a good way to get a seller to co-operate that seems to make them butt hurt.

I haven't got a clue. All I know he is a bought A LOT of these from someplace. Resold ALL as refurb and needing power connectors. He said he put power connectors on mine for me. I could take it to the local community college have them take a look but I'm sure that guy has had enough with me since he repaired my last amp from when I was noob and tried a crap amp at .5 to see if it would take it and he soldered in a new powerjack for my laptop which doesn't work so since I gotta stop by there again maybe I should take them to him and see what he thinks.

Pull the bottom plates and post pics of internals. Where was your cars voltage at?

The few strike 1000d boards I have seen look extremely similar to the board in my storm 1000d amp.

Yeah that is it on amp guts. My volts never dropped below 14.7. I don't know with the car off. My AB amp would have been pulling **** near twice the current and I ran the battery down dead 3 times with it and it never messed up. Literally dead and it never low volted or anything. I ran the second LA Strike hard for that half hour and when I shut the car off I turned the radio down so it wouldn't drain the battery so fast. So it was even full tilt when it blew. The only thing I've done wrong I can think of is I skipped on grinding the paint on my ground surface as it looked like there was none because they painted over the nut and washer. I was gonna do that tomorrow. Well tomorrows agenda is check the ohms on my wires and then install my old amp back in and see it goes.
