i was bumpin normal and all of a sudden my sub gets quiet... its still goin but its quiet. no fuses popped or anything, anyway i let it rest and go workout i get back same quiet shit. i get home and unscrew it all play around check all the connections. i blew on the coils for a little idk why lmao. i changed from one set of pos and negative to the other set and put it all back together and its fine. i smelt a burning but my nose is messed up and idk if its from sub or the amp lol. then all of a sudden it goes back to normal...

i had this happen to me when i had something loose in my old amp. finally i got so tired of it i opened it up and had a cap that was just rolling around on the inside grounding shit out. i don't know how i didn't fry the amp!! i guess crossfire makes good protect on there amps.....it's just a thought

you might have blown one of the coils thats why its not as loud or you might have pretty much blown one meaning its on the verge of dying..
so i should get a recone? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

okay... i went outside and put the dmm on the sub it showed 1ohm... i went further and undid everything to test each coil. each read 1.7

hmmmm?

then i put the dmm on the speaker out and it was reading 40ish volts (it should be set to 36.4 but i went a little higher)

idk whats wrong //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif nothing is blown since they are all reading correctly

well i figured i should add that my voltage used to drop to 12ish but never below and now it barely gets below 12.8 or so.. idk if that helps anyone in helping me solve this problem
