As I'm prolly late, but meh, better late then never right?how do you know how much power your amp will draw
Hell, even with my 1kwrms with a 100amp alt (i think) i notice volt dropseverybody with there 2kw plus systems and no voltage drop....on a 90 amp alt....my stock is 136 amp i have 2400w rms and if i turn the volume up the volts go down like i don't even have an alternator at all....
how or why does this happen....i know thats kinda of an answer that can't be answered easily....but i do only have 2/3 of the big three done, but the voltage drop happens so fast i don't think the finishing it is going to make that much of a difference (even tho im going to finish it)Hell, even with my 1kwrms with a 100amp alt (i think) i notice volt drops
if your gain isn't set right on your amp it is drawing more from the battery...correct?Lights dimming are not necessarily a bad thing, only when it is severe. It's a perfect indicator but a fair indicator that voltage is dropping. Best is to check what your voltage is at the amps, then you will know whether or not your amps are safe.

Well being that the body is sitting on the frame it's easier to attach a ground to the body, rather than cut a hole in the body so I can attach a wire to the actual frame beneath it. The last thing I need is another hole for possible air leaks.Blazer you grounded to the body not your frame? If you ground to frame its a big difference well it was for me anyways
