Los Angeles (AFP) - Three people were stabbed, one of them critically, and 13 others were arrested in California when a Ku Klux Klan rally erupted into clashes with counter-protesters, witnesses and police said.

Around midday, half a dozen members of the white hate group arrived at the protest site in Anaheim where they were "swarmed" by protesters, who attacked them with at least one wooden plank, witness Brian Levin told AFP...

Not far from where a few of us bassheads met up today to add a little noise pollution to the air lol. Lotta tension as of late around here.

I'd rather buy new with no warranty. The M4a and TFE 8.0 were made at reputable buildhouses. Both would be guaranteed not DOA, they just didn't have any warranty after that.
I'd rather take that chance than buy a used amp that somebody abused at .125 ohms nominal with inadequate electrical for hours in the summer. I treat my equipment well.

Is MMATS even still around //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Why is it that people believe having more batteries/alternators makes running at lower-than-rated impedance safe?

Legitimate manufacturers defect may take many weeks to reveal itself. Manufacturer gets a bad batch of components or one component where the specs were listed wrong and pffft. Up in smoke.

Best would be a refurb or just repaired by a reputable shop who would have tightened up any weak links while they were fixing whatever the original issue was. I'd take a refurb over new for most of those either.

I'd wager 1 in 4 KKK or American Nazi members is a fed, either directly on the payroll or paid informant/agent provocateur. The rest are lowest common denominator to join those sort of groups and not realize how infiltrated they are by government spooks.

At a higher voltage, efficiency is better and there is less heat was my understanding. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with running lower impedances. Inadequate electrical regardless of impedance is bad. There's no way to know how bad the previous owner treated the amp.

I bought my amp last year, so hopefully I'm safe. It was one of the last amps from the last TFE 8.0 batch, and I haven't heard of parts failing on them (yet).

Refurbs scare me for some reason. I can't help thinking that there are one of two other issues:

1. Other components were damaged/stressed when the amp failed, but weren't replaced because they were still functional.

2. The flaw that caused the first failure could happen again if the underlying issue was not addressed. Like say a capacitor wasn't in spec for the error in tolerance, and because of that another problem was caused. If the refurb company didn't know that was the issue, they might just replace the damaged components thinking it was user error. The amp might test good after the repair, but break after prolonged use. Just using a random example
