Diamond?

I have a dvc 2ohm Kicker CVX in a ported behind the seat ProBox in my 06 CC Sierra. I recently just got a Diamond D6 1000.1 amp and was wondering if this was too much power for the CVX? If so whats the max I could turn this thing up before it blew the sub?

I'd wire it for 1.

Just use some common sense. Subs don't blow just because they're being run with a powerful amp. The user is in complete control of the power being delivered to the woofer.

I'd set it up with the gain at the absolute min. Listen to some music. If it's loud enough leave it there. If not increase it by a very small increment until you're satisfied w/the output.

If something sounds "off" turn it down.

Ok nvm I think its a 4ohm sub. Since its 4ohm can I wire to to 2 ohms?
