Im lacking midbass. I have not done anything to the doors as I plan not to dynamat my doors because of weight issues, other than that I have mdf rings for them but I havnt had time to put them on yet. As it is right now it seems like my stock speakers had more midbass than my hex's. Will the rings help any or would I have to dynamat my doors to hear any real improvement? Also my tweeter's are drowning out the 6.5's. Is this normal for the tweeters to be louder than the 6.5's. and when I mean drowning them out I mean you cant even hear the 6.5's unless you put your ear next to it. Please help me out guys!!

Does your crossover have a tweeter attenuation switch/jumper on it?

Sound deadening your doors will absolutely help the midbass output. A good couple layers on the outer door skin and inner door sking, and use it to seal your doors. Solidifying the mounting of the speaker (mounting it on MDF rather than plastic) MAY help some.

Dampning will help to a degree, the mids placement places a large part on the output you may notice- but as Squeak mentioned, mids need a good deal of catering

As far as your tweets go, I'm sorry to say , either you love them or hate them- most of my friends have gone the S600's' because they couldn't tolerate the aluminums, they are indeed very harsh- I suggest moving them, perhaps off axis, maybe pointing towards the windshield would help

I don't really understand the wieght issue you have with sound deadener? It would add maybe 5 lbs each???

I would deadened the doors and seal over all the openings, use the jumpers the attenuate the tweets as much as possible and then, even think about moving the tweets to the kicks or doors.

When I try setting the jumpers for my tweeters I cant tell a difference. But as of right now I have all the jumpers switched to the top postion. Im still a noob at all this stuff, plus the manual doesnt really say much about setting the jumpers on the crossover.

i believe the jumpers on the top position is +2db on the tweeters.

there are 2 jumpers on each xover. => 4 possible settings.

there are also 4 tiny diagrams imprinted beside the jumpers for each possible setting.
