Diamond Audio D612D4 12" Subs

DVC - 4 ohms - 600w RMS

Any thoughts on these subs? These can be had for approximately $360.00 per pair shipped. My Mono amp is a Kicker KX1200.1 which I'll be running at 1 ohm.

Diamond Audio has been highly recommended at other forums, but I'd like more opinions. I hadn't planned to spend this much for my subs, but it's looking like I have/need to in order to keep up with my KX1200.1. I've been looking at the Orion P12D4 (500w RMS) and the RF Punch Stage 3 (500w RMS), but I'm not sure they will take the beating. I've also had several people tell me to avoid RF, period.

Opinions and recommendations of any other subs in the $100-$180 price range (eBay) are welcomed. I need something around 600w RMS.

Anyone else have any thoughts on these subs? Are there any disadvantages to the aluminum cones? Do they sound different as compared to the more conventional cones?

Does anyone know the recommended sealed enclosure for these subs? I can't seem to find these specs.
