Diamond Audio D6 10"

I think i want to sell or trade my IDQ for the 10" D6 i have a good 500rms amp and looking to switch up. The D6 looks like a really good candidate. I would put it in a ported enclosure, but how is the SQ on these things. Will it match up to the IDQ?

i dont have any experiece with either diamond audio or eclipse. I want to build a ported box with a single 10 off of 500rms how is the SQ/SPL of the Eclipse SW7000 compared to the SQ/SPL of the D6

Well if you gonna go from 15'' to 10'' you gonna lose around 5'' of cone area which contributes to output. I say your best bet will going to a 12'' d6 with a 1.3 cft box.

I wonder how the d6 compares to w6's as they quite in the same field in terms of specs. If any one heard both please chime in.

Oh I didn't see that you said ported 10''. In that case it should depend on how big your box will be and what will it tuning be. I used to have an id 10'' @ 1.7 @28 hertz ported and I enjoyed it better than my 15'' idq sealed @ 1.6.
