scored a 99 deville today. need to put together a little budget system for everyday use. i guess a sql system. i listen to mainly metal. dont know about the front stage. crutchfield says 5 1/4 in the front doors. all i saw was a tweeter mount, no woofer pod in the door. weird...

budget sql sub?

budget 2 ch(front stage) and mono block amp(sub)?

how much are you looking to spend?

Devilles are not easy to get loud. i would do some comps up front. are you sure there isn't a baffle on the door? i had one in my 03 Deville. i just cut it to fit 6 1/2

dont wanna put a number on what my budjet is, but i was thinking around $1,500. for subs i like to get three 10's in a sealed box. for my front stage i've always ran with my image dynamics. wasnt too impressed with the new xs line.

You are going to want to deaden the hell out of your trunk. On those cars the trunk is just about sealed air tight from the cabin so you will get alot of trunk rattle without alot of SPL. and I'm not sure if they make it for the 99 but I know they do not make a radio wiring harness for the 96 years. Other than thaty with your budget you can get just about whatever brand/set up you want. JL, Kicker, Alpine, DD.

Don't get 3 subwoofers, you're subs will be limited if you want the most power out of your amplifier, impedence wise it get's confusing... Most amps will make the most power @ 1 ohm. I say get 2 12's, or 2 15's. Either some type R's, audioque SDC2.5's, fosgate P3's or fosgate T1's. For sub amplifier, the audioque 1200 and 2200's are a good deal for the money. Be careful with the volume level if you get the 2200 with any of the subs mentioned, it would slam hard though-

Also, get the dual 4 ohm voice coils for both subs if the amplifier you choose is 1 ohm stable. (4) 4 ohm coils in parallel = 1 ohm. Most amps are 1 ohm stable unless it's a kicker
