Okay, i know very little about wiring and electrical and whatnot, but i think i want to try and give all this stuff i just ordered a go-around on my own (dont really want to pay for an install). I have no idea what i need to buy to be able to complete this install lol.

Well, you can see what i have ordered in my sig. For the two type-R's wired to the hifonics amp, i figured i would get two 1/0 amp wiring kits from knuconcepts and i figured that would be enough for both subs to the amp. Is there any other little tidbits i need for this?

I also need to wire the four speakers to the amp. How many feet of wire should i get/what other tidbits willi need?

And will be adding a second battery/big 3 also. If anyone could help me out with som einfo or point me in the right direction to read up about this, please do!

One 1/0 kit is fine. The kit is to power the amp itself, not used as power wire from the subs to the amp. For sub wire I'd reccomend a couple feet of 12 or 10 guage, depending on desired location of amp and subs.

0ga kit will run from battery to amp

Get an 8ga kit for that small amp, or get a distribution block and distribute that 0ga to a lead of like 0ga and a lead of 8ga or 2 4ga or whatever.

For speaker wire, I go by the rule of "get twice what you think you'll need." If all else fails don't order any and just go buy a little spool at Walmart for $10..

There is no other "battery wiring." If you're wanting to do the big 3, measure out how much wire you're going to need and add a couple feet, and either buy that much 1/0ga or 4ga. Don't forget connectors.

Also make sure that your amp kit comes with a fuse holder, any Knu kit should, but just double check. If you're going the distribution block method, get a fused one just for extra safety //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

dang that pretty much sums it up, lot easier then i thought it was going to be hehe.

So, i need a 0ga amp wiring kit for the amp to the battery, an 8ga kit for the lil amp, spool of 16ga should handle the speakers to amp, plus whatever ga i need for the subs (guessing 10ga)

Then i can measure out what i need of 0ga for the big3. What kind of connectors will i need? prolly a dumb question, but i know barely anything on this topic hehe.

Is there any other little tidbit things i'll need to wire this stuff up? or does this all just go terminal to terminal for the sub box/amp and speakers/amp

What about adding that second battery? I am going to have a Kinetik 2400 added as the second battery. What do i need to wire something like that up?

For the moment, I think you should just buy a new battery for under the hood, and upgrade to a second battery in the back when you can afford it.

1/0 Guage for the Sub Amp.

I'd get atleast 4 guage for the other amp. Better to do over kill for head room.

Don't forget to fuse all the wires from the battery.

Buy some extra 4 guage / 1/0 guage for ground. Only need about 4 ft of each at most.

RCAs.

Power / Ground Terminals for the Big 3.

And that's about it.

only replace my upfront battery? well the sub amp im putting in is 2000watts rms, and the little amp is 40wrms @ 4 ohm. I am gonna need more than one little battery arent i?

Edited the post a bit to make it more clear. I just thought you should buy a battery up front first, then buy a second one in the back when you can afford it. Big 3 is going to be a must on that power supply.

Batteries are easy to connect. Single run of 1/0 from positive to positive. Single run of 1/0 from negative to negative. If you want to do it the lazy way, you can just ground the rear negative, and not run that second wire.
