Desperate for help

Well I come home from school and my dad says my car stereo is ****ed. Its so bad he disconnected my power cables for my amps so they wouldnt output and took off the faceplate (didnt know how to turn off HU).

The problem is: the stereo plays something fine for about 10 seconds then a HIGH pitch noise is BLARING NONSTOP like a fire alarm SUPER SUPER LOUD, volume doesnt make a difference and I have to kill the stereo for it to go away. What is wrong with my stereo? it is annoying and that is an understatement. literally painful

well that can be your new alarm,,,

I would personaly check all the wires grounds and slap another hu in if you have one around the house and see what it does from that.

sounds like something is wired wrong, if you want to figure out the problem for yourself and avoid taking it to a shop you'll probably have to start from scratch and check all your wiring, or it could be something internal in one of your amps, IDK, where is the noise coming from (sub, mids, tweets)?

Stereo was fine before and my dad used my car daily to save gas instead os the SUV. He said it happened suddenly out of nowhere.

since you specified it's coming from the tweets and mids it most likely is due to a bad ground from your 400.2 amp (make sure it is grounded to a bare metal surface) or it could be your rca cables, check them out and see if that gets you anywhere, also, as a last resort, swap your amp and see if the problem still occurs so you can determine whether or not it is the amp causing the problem

make shure that the grounds are properly grounded.cause i had the same problem in my old truck and i got a ground loop isolator and tookit up it took the noise away instanly.

First, unplug the RCA outputs from the Headunit and turn on the car/headunit. Is the noise still present or does it go away?

Then, uplug the RCA inputs from the amplifier and turn on the car/headunit. Is the noise still present or does it go away?
