My car is a rather old 1986 Peugeot 309, i recently bought it a
kenwood KDC-BT8044U head unit, two 20w rms jvc speakers in the front and in the back 2 sony xplod 40w. They both are 13cm (5.1 in). But the sound is not that good, not that clear, I expected more after I puchased this expensive player. Now I am willing to spend around 400$ for the perfect system, but i don't really know what to buy and where to place the components and i need some help.
The plan I have is to buy the
Clarion SRS1326 component speakers for the front doors and to place the tweeters next to the mirrors. In the back the speaker location isn't in the doors, it's up, in the sides. Here I would place the 3-way coaxial
Clarion SRQ1330R.
Next, under the rear glass, i plan to make 2 hols for some
Pioneer TS-A6903i, also somewhere in the back i would place the
MAC MP TUBE 30 subwoofer. These would be hooked up to a
Blaupunkt GTA 470
What do you think of the system? Are the components good? Someone told me that in the front I should place the same coaxials as in the back, is it better that way? He says that it would sound awful with the tweeters next to the mirrors. But the stock location is very bad for coaxial IMO.
I am open to every suggestion, kick panels even.
