DEI backup battery issue.....

So I just got my alarm finished yesterday. The only issue we came across was the DEI backup battery "relay part". When we removed one of the fuses that should enable the backup battery to kick on, the sirens just chirped once, and that was it when they should have gone off.

We even called DEI to figure out what the issue was and we eventually figured out it was the clear part was not relaying the signal correctly to the alarm shown here: http://cgi.ebay.com/DEI-520T-BACKUP-BATTERY-SYSTEM-Viper-Clifford-Alarm-NEW_W0QQitemZ180325256020QQcmdZViewItemQQptZCar_Alarms_Security?hash=item180325256020&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66:2|65:15|39:1|240:1318

I guess I will be buying another one to swap(I dont even need the actual battery, just the clear part)...did anyone else have any issues with this? The glass break sensor, shock sensor, dual zone motion sensor all work perfectly fine, Im just annoyed that pretty much the most important part of the alarm had to malfunction for whatever reason.
