deer problem

hey i was wondering if there is a way to keep deer away from my house with out shooting them....they keep coming up and eating my dads garden....so he wanted me to see if i could find a way to keep the away lol

I used to use irish spring soap around my gardens to keep the deer away. They smell stuff like that and think that people are around. It would work well in the deep woods.

Nope.

Deer can't distinguish human urine from that of most other mammals.

I piss in scrapes sometimes to come back and find them freshly worked in a day or two.

I can see this working for a bit until they come to terms with the scent.
