Deep cycle/ dry cell battery charger

So i'm looking at something to charge my yellowtop since Autozone is being ghey about charging it for me. I'm just wondering what are some good trickle chargers for deep cycle batteries that can turn off after the battery is fully charged. Please keep in mind that I'm working with a budget right now. Other than that, suggest away //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

What you are looking for is called a battery tender. They turn on and off as necessary to prevent over-charging. They are popular for motorcycles and atv's because of the small, expensive batts that tend to be stored for long periods without use.

This is the one I have, but I didn't pay 50 for it...

yea, ive got a pretty generic trickle charger that works just fine. i think it was about 40 bucks, its 2 amps...isnt fast but will do the job overnight and shuts off+ maintains voltage after its charged

I need a charger, since my battery kinda dipped down to pretty low voltage. I have a feeling it won't come back to life, but hopefully i can try and revive it.

what do you have?

i just got one from harbor freight for 30$ works fine so far
it will charge 6v @ 2 amps or 12v @ 2A, 10A, or 55A for starting
I have that too, but it says that with deep cycle batts i have to watch out so as not to overcharge it. Not sure if i want to keep having to look out for it to not overcharge

A tender IS a charger. Its a charger that is smart enough to turn itself on and off. Its exactly what you asked for. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
The smaller the charge rate, the deeper the charge (better).

hmm...i was getting a feeling that a charger is for batteries that already have a high enough voltage and just needs to be maintained at that voltage. I guess i'm wrong lol

I dont know what that means exactly, but it sounds way wrong. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif
