What are the actual negative results of using a big marine deep cycle in the back and a yellow top in the front? Snoopdan says its fine but i just wanted to ask the forum because i see a lot of threads against it

Yellowtop is deepcycle //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

From personal experience I've found that NSB's don't like to be run for daily... I had a nsb 75 as my front battery, ran up there for like 2 months and blew a cell or something. Anyway it happened a week before finals. So I called up powermaster and got one of there d2700's for up front and haven't had a problem since... As far as the yellow tops, a yellow top and a blue top (marine) are the same battery.

The YT is a deep cycle/starting battery which differs from a "deep cycle" battery.Basically it is geared more towards vehicle application and can be ran to total discharge with little damage compared to a normal wet cell battery.Where the true deep cycle can be ran down to a total discharge many times.
