Ok...not sure if this has been addressed in a previous thread, but I'm working on my girlfriend's stereo (Isn't it always hers that screws up?) and I can't get the speakers that are powered by the deck to work. The deck is a lower model Sony (I told her to buy Pioneer, but whatcher gonna do) and only a year or two old. What happens is that when you're driving down the road, the speakers cut in and out, when you hit bumps and whatnot...hit one bump they go out, the next they come back on...if you slam the passenger door it sometimes works to get them working again. Anyways, I tore the dash apart and tried putting a test light to the speaker leads at the back of the deck to see if any voltage was going to them...After that 1/2 explanation, my question is: If the speaker wires are shorted out somewhere from the deck to the speaker itself, would voltage still be being sent down through the leads? Or would the deck shut them off for safety? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated cause I'm hitting a brick wall with this one...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/banghead.gif.8606515f668c74f6de0281deb475b6fd.gif
