Welcome to the forum.

Just at a guess having nothing more than the minimal info contained within your post I would say it's a voltage issue (ergo: when you have the volume up somewhat high the current being drawn by the amp is more than your vehicle is capable of supplying and consrquently it causes the equipment to shut down due to lack of power)

What kind of electrical does your car have?

How big is the battery?

Do you know what amperage your alternator is rated for?

What size cabling are you feeding current to that amplifier with?

My guess is that the deck shuts off due to a voltage problem, and the amp shuts off because the deck shuts off.

You need a multimeter for any serious troubleshooting, but make sure your head unit has a good ground and a secure connection on the yellow wire.

ive had a system in this car since 2002 and it was good then ... i could turn it up all the way and no problems ... this started happening a year ago .. and i cant seem to fix it ... one day i had the volume up and it just started turning off ...
