Decent Front Stage

So far I'm looking at this for my front stage on my Saleen.....It consist of Image Dynamics Mini Horns.....German made MB Quart 210 Sc 8" midbass in the .5 cu. ft sealed enclousure in each front door....The MA Audio 30EQX....30 band EQ crossover....Most likely a DD S4 amp powering this setup....I hope it sounds good //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I have several trunk EQ's .....but I found a deal on Ebay on that 30 band...And I'm wanting to go active...I doubt I use the passive crossovers at all....that came with the 8's and horns....

I used to have horns and god did they get loud. You would get out of my truck because of the highs not because of my sub.

You can go active with the S4, but I cannot get it to sound as good as the crossover in the prs880.

I tried it both ways last night, with same xpoint, same slope. The pioneer was much cleaner about it.

I guess it depends how you compare.

Why use the RTA at all? By the ear man, by ear. Then have someone else take a listen. I find the best improvement by comments of the listeners.

Like I said the RTA is getting in the ball park..Then I'll fine tune it...That way I can observe and adverse peaks and such.....I'll try by placing the mic at certain points where I'll be listening to it ...By research I may end up using a smaller amp on the horns.....

Horns are incredible effecient....should need much at all. But headroom is always nice
