Decent/Cheap Party Speakers

Already have a reciever, its a Kenwood 1070VR which is my friends (IDK any info on it). But Im looking for a pretty decent set of floor speakers that get loud and have some good bass, mainly for parties haha. Around $250? Anything out there decent for that price? Thanks

i just bought a pair of polk audio R50's for my dorm room. there MSRP is like $639, but i got 'em for something like $179 + shipping off ebay.

they sound really good IMO. bass could be better, but then again im used to the bass in my truck, so maybe its decent for home audio.

for the price, i think i got a really good deal, and id recomend them if you can get your hands on a set.

Actually, I also have a pair of Polk R50's and a pair of R30's... got both sets for about $280 all together... I use them hard and they haven't complained.
