Deadning speakers?

For a kit like this, how do you actually install it? In that picture it looks like that put it on the first panel of the car, and just cut out the speaker hole so the speaker can go through the deadner. Or do you put it behind the speaker magnet? On like the farthest back door panel?

Its on the metal pannel behind the speaker. You should put it through the speaker hole and smooth it out so you get good adhesion and no bubbles and then just install the speaker in its little cutout

It goes over anything that resonates (makes sound when you hit it)

I would suggest that you do all the flat metal pannels in the door, inside and out.

You don't have to get as extravagent as he did in that thread.....but it should give you an idea of where the important-to-deaden areas
