Deadening installation question

I'm currently workin on installing damplifier pro, and there are several major spots in my car that resonate like hell (in the trunk and rear deck, and just covering the main spot that resonates and not the whole panels makes a huge difference. So would I be better off covering the entire area, including areas that don't resonate very much, or just doubling up on those main spots? sorry if thats confusing lol...basically how much effect do you get out of doubling up vs covering more area (even if that area doesn't really resonate that bad too begin with)

or should I just get a single layer everywhere I want it before I start doubling anywhere?

thanks

bump...anyone with more experience than i have...does it work well to double up on problem areas? or to just cover ever inch of it?

remember this is damplifier pro so its already fairly thick

Depends. Are you just trying to kill resonations? Then apply it until the resonations stop. How ever many layers it takes. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

The outer 1/3 of a panel and any areas near bends and welds will not benefit much from vibration damping. It doesn't hurt to cover the whole thing, but you will make mrore efficient use of materials by concentrating on the most resonant areas.
