deadener

Damplifier Pro is the best. the damplifier. It is, without a doubt, the best deadener.
When you make statements like that, you sorta need to back it up. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Charmin is the best toilet paper. It's thicker, stronger, feels better on your ***. It, without a doubt, the best toilet paper.

To direct quote:

"Highest Quality

Second Skin's products live up to their "Over Engineered to Over Perform" motto. They are clearly a higher quality alternative to Dynamat Xtreme - designed for greater heat tolerance, with higher quality materials.

If quality is your most important requirement, Second Skin Damplifier or Damplifier Pro are the obvious choices. Dynamat Xtreme is close, but being more expensive and not as good isn't a winning combination. I congradulate Second Skin Audio for their obvious dedication to providing the best product possible. "

"Best Value

RAAMaudio's RAAMmat BXT is a high quality product priced to compete with asphalt mats. If you are considering an asphalt sound deadener based on price, please reconsider. "

Happy?

No. Don is wrong and should be sanctioned for espionage by someone.....

Problem is you didn't define "better." Without that, you can say any deadener is the best. I can make WAY "better" deadener in my garage for 1/3 the price as DP.

You also made the mistake of excluding many other forms of deadener. Include those and DP will get stomped in the damping department.

Dynamat Xtreme is a quality product, but it's offers very little in the damping department if it's not used within a certain temp range. It's actual, tested effectiveness goes down more than 75% as you go from room temp to freezing or room temp to very hot.

If a deadening company tries to tell you their product is "better" because it can withstand higher heat, they are not telling you the whole truth. Truth is: damping is temperature dependant......all CLD mat (DE, DP, whatever) will not deaden hardly at all in extreme temperatures.

Is this the "best" deadener?

Damplifier Pro is the best. It did the best in the temperature test. The adhesion test it was beat by many, but it did better than the Dynamat, which is its closest rival. It is also cheaper than Dynamat.
