ddm reading

7 pages of nonsense and no one has explained what the purpose of the gain setting is. It is NOT a volume knob. It is there to match the output signal of the source unit. For example if your headunit has 2.5v preouts, then you want the gain on the amp to be set to 2.5v (NOT volts AC) Unfortunately most amps don't have the voltage readings printed and instead have an arbitrary number system or even just a visual symbol indicated less to more.
I have a Rockford p1000.1bd and it has the same looking settings and I have 2.5v preouts, same as OP. My gain in about the same place as op after he reset it. Mine is set for around 37vac or 1400wrms x 1 ohm which is what my birthsheet reads. I have a 130a alt, 1 run of 4ga and no electrical upgrades and I'm running a 2ch to the front stage and my **** is maxxed out. I don't push my volume past 50-60% though so I dont really have much of a voltage drop unless I burp a 0 db tone.
well mines at 39 acv now, i thought this amps strong enough to power these subs to their full potential,

and should i have the freq all the way up, or is where i have it fine

you do not want the answer - you want it to be what you think it should be.

I very clearly explained to you, for hours via chat, that since you have it crossed over at your headunit already at 85HZ, you do not want/need/or should use the crossover on the Amp.

Seriously do not ask me another question about your setup as you do not listen at all.

you said set it to 85 on my deck and 255 on my amp. now your saying set it to 85, and dont use it on the amp? meaning 0?

not using it on the amp = up all the way to the MAX = 255 hz

Whatever you have that number set to it will block any FREQ above that number.

Just set the amp to the MAX freq or turn off your headunit's crossover

Just like I told you yesterday - use one crossover either on the amp or the headunit but do not use them both.

do not use them both? theres no option to turn the Low HZ on the deck off, it goes 55-85-120-200 or something,

so what do i set it to on the amp and the deck, cause thats what u told me yesterday, how do i turn it off on the amp then?

off on the amp means to turn it all the way to the max = 255

If you put it to as high as it goes, 255, that is as close to off as that amp will let you go.

I told you have the same amp, my headunit is at 80 hz, freq on the RF amp is set to as high as it will go.

I wish I could hear your car cause I really cannot believe you keep wanting more out of what you have.

I have a 1,500 watt RF amp (turned down a bit as I am waiting on elec upgrades) - like you do

I have a Pro-Rabbit box - like you do

I have a Pair of Skar 12's which IMO are very close to your SA's

My system is like a joke, its funny to us (my GF and me) it has a ton of bass. If I turn the bass up the trunk lid looks like it is going to break, the sunvisors flap around, all 3 mirrors are unusable, if any of the windows are down at all the glass shakes back and forth.

I can only turn the bass up for a few mins before it is too much. I only had more bass than this once, that was 2 JL 13.5w7's on 2 JL 1000/1 amps

My last system was 2 Kicker 12L7's on a 2 JL 500/1 and my current setup kills that.

Have you been in other cars with systems? How does yours compare? I have been in tons of cars with systems and I do not think I have ever been in one that had 2 -12's that hit harder than my (same as yours) setup.

There are people out there putting like 4k at a pair of 12's but I have never been in a setup like that.

For 1,500 watts and a pair of 12's - I know I am maxed out and I wouldnt want any more.

well i mean, djthrownslow songs pound, but when playing normal sounds, they dont pound as loud at all.

are your subs facing in, or pointing at the trunk? mine are pointing at the trunk.

my last system was ****, this is my first real good setup, i had 2 used mtx thunder 4200s, runnin off my ma audio 1600 that i have, and it ****** ****, subs were only like 250 rms each or something, and i didnt know as much as i did now about car audio ( which stil isnt alot ) l ol

and at the time it was using a 20A fuse lol.

Firing into the trunk - just like yours
