ddm reading

erm........might want to check the final impedence again. 38.7 is 1500@1 bro. i just now caught that. where were the rest of the people in this thread that saw that and never said anything? jeez.. bump your sub out to 0 then try the 38.7ac v reading and see how that goes..
I posted about it, but another dude told him different and so the OP disregarded everything else and went with his statement.

Your volts should be set around 38 for 1500 watts @ 1 ohm with a 0 db tone. If you set your gain with a -3 db tone and play any music thats 0 db, you'll most likey clip the **** out of your subs.

who said it so when the OP blows his stuiff up we can send the bill to him
Here

theres definetly a difference in voltage when trying diff test tones an output as well. i think he'll be okay at 50.4 ect just unless he doesnt have everything turned up on his HU
Yea your fine and like i said in my first post dont turn up the bass from your head unit and keep the loudness low or off that way your hu wont send clipped signal and you wont send clip signal to your front stage as well

so your saying its bad that its hitting 38 volts on the bass drops?
No we're saying your amp shouldn't be reading at 50 volts with a 1 ohm load @ 1500 watts. Either you're clipping the hell out of your subs and you just think it sounds good, or your DMM isn't reading right. I ran 1500 watts at 1 ohm load...it's supposed to read 38.6v, if I turned it higher i would cilp for me...

well thats gonna make it hell of alot quieter... wtf,, the gain will be at like 3

Well you may want to make sure your DMM is working correctly. Try playing a 50 hz 0 db tone through your system and see what the amp reads at with your DMM. Put your sub out to 8/8 and set the voltage to around 38.6 and see how it sounds.

When you say it sounds good do you mean inside and outside the car? By that I mean when you open your trunk and hear your subs playing do they sound normal and not distorted/bottoming out?

okay, well ive turned down the frequency on the amp a little, so its at like 65ish, and the gains at like 4 now, and it really didnt make that much of a difference, at volume 39/50 the voltage is now 38.8, and still pounds ... the voltage hits like 30ish max... is it normal now? lol
