I have no experience with those amps, but according to the specs I looked up before posting, they put out 3000 watts RMS. 5000 is a peak number which should be ignored.Aww man, so what amps should I go with then in which i wont have to do any more upgrading to my electrical/charging system??? I guess I will just sell these amps, I was thinking that they put out 5000 watts each. Any suggestions would help real talk cause uhhmm, i wanna upgrade immediately with the help of the experienced people through this site.
I'll let more experienced SPL guys answer, but Id guess you would want at least 2500 watts per 9515 if you want to start getting serious. But then again, a system setup to do well daily wont reach its full potential in the lanes. You will need to compromise. Serious SPL rigs would run upwards of 10X that power to each speaker. That's not realisitic for a daily system. Again, time for a compromise.
Most competitors 'stiffen' their power supply with racks of batteries to help maintain voltage during those massive burps. IMO you already have more than enough alternator juice, start looking into batts and wire/cable. If the thought of racks of batts and gross amounts of copper cable in your ride dont appeal to you, a system running four 9515's is simply out of your league. But if you ARE willing to do this, more power to ya, and we'll be glad to help. Just trying to keep things realisitc before you get too far along and realize you've made an error along the way.
