I am pretty pretty happy with my DD Redline 712 powered by the M1c but am about to upgrade and was wondering the thoughts on a single 9512 powered by 2 m2b's. I will be sticking with DD amps and when I got my box built for the 712 my dealer said all of DD 12" use the same size box that is why I haven't thought of different size or quanity subs. I have also thought of getting another M1c instead and strapping those together.

This is for a daily setup

Want it to be LOUDER and LOW!!!!

If you're using DD spec box you should be in good shape dropping in a higher end sub and doubling the power. You'll be hard pressed to find any bad reviews of the 95XX series.

Honestly I think you'd be happy with like a dual 1 wired to a .5 load on a single m2b they are powerhouses and really come alive wired low .. I'd say go down to .35 if wanted dd offers lots of coil options ... and make sure you get it supercharged if your spending the money you may as well //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

That is an interesting thought. So the M2b is stable at .35? What kind of output would I be looking at. I am getting a Singer 250 amp HO alt and an extra battery trying to stay around 14 v

@Timmy13091 what coil version of the 9512 should I go with and how to wire to get .35?
You want a d.7 which they offer and you wire it down .. Pos to pos new to neg...

With that alt you should be good and you should see 3k+ daily

Id just buy another m1c and strap it at 1.4ohm with dual .7 coils.

2 m1c strapped at 1.4 is around 5000w

2 m2b strapped at 2 is arond 5800w

1 m2b at .5 is 3500w

That is assuming good electrical and rounding off.

personally I like 1 m3b per 9500 which is around 4k at 1ohm

remember the m1c is 1900w at 1ohm some are a touch over 2k

The m2b is only 2600w at 1ohm so im my opinion not worth the little power increase.

and all m class dd amps love low impedance as long as you have the power to back them.

Hi, you say the m2b does 5800 @ 2ohm strap. You know what number it puts out at 1ohm strap? I got 2 m2b and waiting to get 4x SA15s. Need to know if it can go 1ohm strap so I can determine which subs I needed. Thanks.

I wouldn't say that makes it better. It might make it better for you. Not sure I would be worried about spending money on DSP if I was going to...
