Interest peaked. Are vfl 12's and hdc4's the same sub?

Question was asked on another forum and I did a little searching to find physical size and t/s specs are identical. Are parts interchangeable?

Recones may fit the basket and gap, but t/s specs may not be identical.

But it looks like they are identical from their t/s from the factory..... I just find that interesting. Fs, vas, Qts, Qes, Qms all are the same.

After all the treads saying that things are different, this may be an actual case of them being the same. That would be interesting.

Usually, there are minute details that are different. Tuned in for sure.

All the Soundqubed guys are going to deny it just like DD guys deny Soundqubed is the same thing and Sundown guys argue Skar isn't the same thing. In those cases, there is proof that they are different.

We'll see if there is any proof here

Hey man, yo never know. Can someone go find coil wind size/specs and T/S parameters for both? I'm way too lazy, but want to see if this is true.

remember the whole thing about an AQ dust cap being under one from another brand.. I'll try and find that thread

The AB XFL is exactly the same as a hdc3 wether people want to believe it or not.

The hdc3 just has minor differences.

The VFL being the same as the HDC4 is new to me as i never ran a VFL sub.
