If you going for straight SPL, switching one driver out for another will make minimal difference. What don't you like about the 9510"s?

haha, i hear ya. Try telling anyone around my town what RE Audio is.

Back on topic: I would keep the DD's, cause I would rather have good rep with people that know what DD is, instead of getting the L7's and having good rep with people that dont :/

that made little to no sense. The SPL is going to be close, probably unnoticable, i'm just a sub *****, i need something new. But I want to do this install right and take my time. So these subs may sit in my garage for a few months before i can get everything for them.

why do you want to get on a team?

being on a team is great for some reasons but there are plenty of reasons not to be on one to

Its sounds like your goal is to impress. Have you considered JL W7's and a gold plated tooth?

So you would rather go with some shit that everyone has just to be like everyone else? Even if everybody started buying DD you would be the trendsetter.

Well the guys who compete around here know me, this could also help me get on a team...

In that case, I say go with whatever will give you the best entertainment for your money. I see a lot of people buy sound systems and say "Dude, this thing can be heard from 3 miles away." I have a loud system (1 12", leave me alone ), but I also understand that maybe not every one likes hearing Lollipop at full volume.

With what it sounds like your doing, and on this level of competition, forget the rep and do what entertains you the most.

Perhaps get a termlab and meter each in your car? And are you talking about a Kicker sponsored team, local car shop team, or something else?

I think your DD's have the potential to get loud buddy. But i know how you feel to switch up setups and try soemthing different.
