ID use the one you can change the tune.. and with a QES that high if you want sick lowend Id go bigger but 7.5 should be pretty much middle of the road QTC for them..
See that's what I was wondering I tried to model the sub in winisd but I'm going to have to read up more on how to use it. I figure a larger box will help with the low end in just afraid if I go to big it might be really peaky. I had even thought about 8.25 net just to try and pick up all the low end I can. In not looking for a complete low end monster but, I would like to play down to 30 with some authority and still be able to keep it fairly tight and accurate up in the higher range too. Without it being peaky Lol I want my cake and eat it too.ID use the one you can change the tune.. and with a QES that high if you want sick lowend Id go bigger but 7.5 should be pretty much middle of the road QTC for them..
So in your opinion would you lean more towards the 8.25 ? Or do you have a specific size and tuning you would lean towards ?they won't be very peaky. i assure you..
Here's some adjustable aero's I made using a fish fryer and a jig. I also made a jig so I can make my own couplers. They fit tight enough to seal, but you can work the port tube out to change them out. If you do it, grab some bondo and cut some circles out of mdf to make a jig. It's worth the extra time.I kind of notice that dead zone to 34 to around 37 is decent 39-52 is brutal and 33 down is just blah... I was hoping a lower tuning might help with that but idk now.. Can't decide between flared PVC port or slot either. Leaning towards aero for tune changing ability's.
This is my what I'm planning on doing exactly, minus the fish fryer Lol A+ on creativity!! Those look awsomeHere's some adjustable aero's I made using a fish fryer and a jig.
