So in essence. The 1508's and the E8's have both shown that under good conditions they both can take 3X the RMS.

pretty much. i never got to use my e8's but others i have seen are taking a bunch of power with no problem. id feel safer running 2x or 3x to the 1508 simply because i have in the past and know they can take it.

1508s are beefier as well. Its really not far to compare them. But they are both quality top notch subs.

The DD site says 500 rms, but thats just what they rate them. We all know the DD subs are WELL under rated.
