Dd 1500

I've been looking at these for a little while, and they seem like exactly what I want... They're a DD sub, they take around 500 RMS, and since it's DD I'm sure they get loud. Anyone had any experience with them?

Oh yeah, and does anyone know what they cost to get them directly from the factory? It doesn't say on their site :

Well I say my 1508's get loud as **** for what they are,for 8's! I could see the 10s and 12s being great too

I had 1008a's which are below these, and they got LOUD! If you're wanting to go by DD's specs and tune high, you'll definitely lack the bottom end, my 8's had very bad tinsel slap while playing Late Night Tip. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif They're definitely good subs, and I had almost 1000WRMS going to mine, and they were only rated for 600WRMS for the pair.

the 1500s kick ***,but i would go with about 2 cubes per 12 tuned to 35... DD doesn't get alot of praise with there less than ideal recommendations...

I'm lookin at the 1512 to get. I think I might get that cadence tx 1000d? Whatever the bridged 600 rms @ 4 ohms is.

Does anyone know the cost of getting it direct from the factory?

Steelmayne - you got the 1500's right? I wanna see a video of em, haven't found one though.

Oh and JimJ - why don't you like em?

I just hope they're under around $300. When you order them from the factory, you can choose impedances right?

No but seriously, I don't really want something with amazing sq, I'll be honest, I just want something that gets hella loud for 600 watts.

the 1512 will do so, there not the best sounding woofers but there not terrible... i would do something slightly smaller like 2 tuned to 35..

what alignment you used?power placement?

Old mouth will say anything if old brain cannot comprehend..

That's almost exactly what I have currently - I have a box with a 12w3 in it, and I'll just put the DD in it's place. The current box is 2.5 or so cu feet, tuned to 35.
