Im getting my box built today. I have all the specs off of the website except for what to have the port tuned to. Its a 15" D2 and its going in the 4 cubed box for SPL from their site.

Oh I see what you're saying, the bigger recommended enclosure. Tune anywhere from 30-37.

if our looking for spl, the i would go with a 40hz tuning. i would think anything in the 37-40hz range should work out good.

Kharp you cant narrow it down between 30-37hz? I would like the bass to be loud and crisp if possible.

I haven't personally used the lv4s, just the lv4xl in a 10'' version. But I had mine tuned to 35 and then 40 in a different box and I've never had a problem hitting the lows in rap in either boxes. Most people will say 32 or 33hz is good for all around daily listening.

I listen to alot of rock and rap/hip hop. Most of the rock I listen to is Metallica, Seether, 3 doors down and such. Any ideas on the port measurements for a 35hz port? The guy needs them I guess. Hes always had the measurements for the ports and has never had to figure out based on what its supposed to be tuned to.

Make sure you have at least 60in^2(width of port x height) of port for 4 cubes.

if someone is building your box they should figure out the port measurements. Its going to depend on the box
