DC lvl 2 8"

MSRP implies you could be charged less by buying direct, which is clearly not the case. If DD were to advertise their pricing in the same manor as many other companies do, the MSRP price would be double that, or $1014. For the base model 3515. $507 is the 'insider' price in that scheme. Im curious if you would be quoted the $507 from a local DD dealer, or even more.
Those prices came straight from Brad Deppe (sp). //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

I personally like companies that are more direct with everything.
I just recently purchased 2 15's and was very interested in DC, but after a day of two of trying to search around and figure who the contacts were on these forums and how to find pricing i figured to hell with it. Its just really not worth my time. . . .

I ended up going with Audioque
That's your own fault. DC's email AND phone number are available to the public. The guys @ DC are busy, so you may have to call more than once, but if you holler at them during business hours YOU WILL get the info you're looking for...

Truth. They're protecting their network and if you've every owned a business you would understand how great it would be to have companies that do this.
It'd be great if they just posted prices that are equal to what they make their dealers sell them at. Instead, they offer them for a good bit less than what their dealers sell them at.

So why go to a dealer if I can call them up and get is for a lot less?

They probably have restrictions based on area, like RE used to do. If there's a dealer in your area you probably have to purchase through them. If not, you're eligible to order direct.

Or I could just have it shipped to a friend who isn't within 50 miles(or whatever it is) of a dealer. That's what I'd do considering it's a hell of a lot cheaper direct.

It was more convenient to just go to a company, order my stuff and be done wit it

I have nothing against DC as a company or anything . . . But hey, I found another company that had great prices and buying from them took 2 minutes vs having to chase reps down over the internet or trying to find a break in my busy 8-5 work schedule just to START pricing out equipment.

just saying. . .

Owning the DC equipment you were interested in was a phone call away. Doesn't get much more conveinient than that.

And their lack of customer support. I know I can get ahold of Jacob at an instant when I wait for days for a response from Rusty.
This.

ive emailed and called dc during business hours and i get nothing. only reason i have one of their subs is because it was used and i didnt have to go through DC directly.

jacob is on forums, emails within an hour, etc.

Because if you have a dealer in your area you can't buy them direct...unless you have them shipped to a friend in another area or something.

Dude, you're really getting on my nerves. A month ago you didn't know shit, and now you're acting as if you've had tons of experience with everything imaginable.

Until you actually have some experience, you should refrain from bad mouthing legit companies...

if im getting on your nerves, go somewhere else?

until i actually have some experience?

if i call dc during regular business hours, and i get no answer. is that not an experience? it most certainly is...

if i email dc 2 times, and i get no response, is that not an experience with dc's customer support? it most certainly is...

if i buy and run a dc sub, is that not an experience? it most certainly is...

im not acting like i know anything. i tried 3 times to get in contact with dc, and their customer support ******. i have ran one of their subs, its good.

did i say anything besides that?

ive seen jacob post on forums, ive emailed him and gotten responses within the hour. is that not an experience? is it a lie?

this is how DC does there buisness i know our local dealer personally. i called direct and gave them my zip for a recone(lvl5 15). got a price, and no longer hung up and the local dealer calls me saying saying that supposedly he cant even get the LVL4 12 recones for that price and i better not call direct again...

****** buisness practices on DC part. and the whole Team pricing is a crock of **** too. do like DJ does at AQ and find a happy medium price. DC needs to post their prices as the highest Suggested Retail Price from their dealers and that leaves the dealers some room to play to get the product sold while still making profits on both ends. not that hard of a concept.

Yup, you're getting on my nerves. But instead of going somewhere else, I'll stomp your ass verbally whenever I feel it necessary.

until i actually have some experience?
That's what I said, newbie. You have none. A month ago you were asking asinine questions about every subwoofer on the market. Now you act as if you know something. In reality, you don't know shit...and it's painfully obvious.

if i call dc during regular business hours, and i get no answer. is that not an experience? it most certainly is...
They're busy people. You may have to call a few times within a day. It's not like they're intentionally dodging your phone calls, new fish...

if i email dc 2 times, and i get no response, is that not an experience with dc's customer support? it most certainly is...
How many emails do you think Rusty gets in a day, son? Dozens? Hundreds? You aren't special. And DC has excellent customer support. I haven't purchased thousands of dollars worth of equipment from the company, but each and every time I've needed to know something Rusty has been extremely helpful. The man even took time out of his day to come here and help when someone got scammed a while back.

Again, stop running your cock sucker about things you know jack shit about.

if i buy and run a dc sub, is that not an experience? it most certainly is...
You bought one sub, USED. Furthermore, I'd venture a guess and say you've only used this particular woofer in one enclosure...with one amplifier. This does not make you an expert on DC's products. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

People like you represent everything that's wrong with these online forums. You came here knowing not-a-damn-thing and were told about lots of "underground" companies. Looking at those companies' websites does not make you knowledgeable. You have no experience, therefore you shouldn't be handing out "advice".

im not acting like i know anything. i tried 3 times to get in contact with dc, and their customer support ******. i have ran one of their subs, its good.
********, man. I've seen your posts as of late. You speak as if you have hands on experience with a lot of stuff. You don't. This is a fact. Stop doing that and I won't fuck with you. It's that simple.

did i say anything besides that?
Yup. I'm not singling you out solely for what you've said in this thread. This is due to me noticing a developing pattern in your activity. Lately, you act as if your level of knowledge far surpasses what you actually know. I'm not going to dig through every post you've made to prove this point, but you and I both know it's the truth. You've become one of those "I'm gonna recommend shit that I've never laid eyes on" type of posters.

ive seen jacob post on forums, ive emailed him and gotten responses within the hour. is that not an experience? is it a lie?
I don't have a problem with Jacob or Sundown, but in all honesty I'm sick of seeing everyone swinging from his balls. The guy builds nice subs and sells korean built amplifiers for a huge profit. Good for him. He's active on the forums. Good for him. He runs a successful company. Good for him.

I'm going out on a limb to say your personal "experience" with jacob is very limited. It has to be, because you didn't even know about Sundown until a couple months ago. How do you know that Jacob doesn't have other people building his subwoofers and such while Rusty is building them hands on with a couple other guys? How do you know whether on not Jacob has more free time for answering random emails from people who may or may not buy a single $200 subwoofer? You don't know what these men do in day to day life.

What I'm saying is simple. Don't come on here talking shit about a reputable company because the guy might've been busy when you tried to email him. These are busy people we're talking about here.

get over yourself
Give me a reason to...

unless you have them shipped to a friend in another area or something.
I followed up in my next post saying that. Hell, I can find someone on this forum in 2 seconds who'd let me get something shipped to them and I'd come pick it up...probably for free or next to nothing. And judging by how cheap I've seen some of the direct prices, and just by how secretive they want to be about them, seems like it's definitely worth it...especially on a big purchase.

I'm gonna be honest. If I had a local DC dealer, I'd get someone on the forum to place orders for me. I'll never have to worry about that, though. There'll never be a local dealer around here that carries anything like DC, DD, Sundown or the like. There's no demand for it...
