DC lvl 2 8"

wow lol
That's ridiculous.
You think thats bad, I called for pricing on a pair of 1515's for a friend of mine and busted out laughing when he gave me "Club DD" pricing. $280 plus shipping each and $320 + shipping each if you wanted a cf dust cap //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/*******.gif.a649d21efc0d1fd4890a6428166586c1.gif. Honestly, who is going to pay $600+ shipped for a pair of 500rms subs. They make great subs but they need to get real on pricing.

I've never had a problem getting ahold of someone @ DC.
And why do so many people bitch about DC failing to list their prices publicly when Digital Designs does the same shit? You have to jump through hoops to get pricing for some of DDs equipment...
me neither

DD's prices arent that hard to get. Call them up and they give you a price. DD is just outrageously expensive.
same with dc, all you have to do is call...you just hate dc...

I personally like companies that are more direct with everything.

I just recently purchased 2 15's and was very interested in DC, but after a day of two of trying to search around and figure who the contacts were on these forums and how to find pricing i figured to hell with it. Its just really not worth my time. . . .

I ended up going with Audioque

MSRP implies you could be charged less by buying direct, which is clearly not the case. If DD were to advertise their pricing in the same manor as many other companies do, the MSRP price would be double that, or $1014. For the base model 3515. $507 is the 'insider' price in that scheme. Im curious if you would be quoted the $507 from a local DD dealer, or even more.
Those prices came straight from Brad Deppe (sp). //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

That's your own fault. DC's email AND phone number are available to the public. The guys @ DC are busy, so you may have to call more than once, but if you holler at them during business hours YOU WILL get the info you're looking for...

Truth. They're protecting their network and if you've every owned a business you would understand how great it would be to have companies that do this.
It'd be great if they just posted prices that are equal to what they make their dealers sell them at. Instead, they offer them for a good bit less than what their dealers sell them at.

So why go to a dealer if I can call them up and get is for a lot less?

They probably have restrictions based on area, like RE used to do. If there's a dealer in your area you probably have to purchase through them. If not, you're eligible to order direct.

Or I could just have it shipped to a friend who isn't within 50 miles(or whatever it is) of a dealer. That's what I'd do considering it's a hell of a lot cheaper direct.

It was more convenient to just go to a company, order my stuff and be done wit it

I have nothing against DC as a company or anything . . . But hey, I found another company that had great prices and buying from them took 2 minutes vs having to chase reps down over the internet or trying to find a break in my busy 8-5 work schedule just to START pricing out equipment.

just saying. . .

Owning the DC equipment you were interested in was a phone call away. Doesn't get much more conveinient than that.

And their lack of customer support. I know I can get ahold of Jacob at an instant when I wait for days for a response from Rusty.
This.

ive emailed and called dc during business hours and i get nothing. only reason i have one of their subs is because it was used and i didnt have to go through DC directly.

jacob is on forums, emails within an hour, etc.

Because if you have a dealer in your area you can't buy them direct...unless you have them shipped to a friend in another area or something.
