Yes, dual one ohm or dual 2 ohm.

dual 1 ohm = wired to either 2 ohm or .5 ohm

dual 2 ohm = wired to either 4 ohm or 1 ohm

Dual 1 ohm wired in series will give you 2ohms.

OH GOODIE Thought I was gonna have to buy a new amp.

What is the difference in having the driver at a lower ohm? (ex. dual 1 ohm v.s. a dual 4 ohm speaker)

I know that having an amp at a lower ohm produces much more power but distorts a lot faster; where as an amp with a higher ohm does not produce as much power but has much more SQ.

Or does the ohm on the driver not matter and just for wiring purposes...

I understand that, but what I'm really trying to ask here is if there is a diff. between a 1ohm sub wired at 2 ohms compared to a 4ohm sub wired to 2 ohms as well.

but if you look at the specs of the speaker you will see diff parameters due to the different voice coils used in the same make sub

The only difference is for amps, higher ohm load means more efficiency and better sound quality(although in the sub frequency it prob not audible to most)
