Wondering what everyone's opinions/experiences on and with this sub are?

Looks like I'm going to be running two ported 12" level 4's on a Stetsom 2k6...Will have all the alt, batt upgrades necessary...

Just want to see what everyone thinks about them--I don't know too much at this point

Its been described as "Chinese knock off re's". If this is the case (and i don't know that it is, just what a few people in teh industry have said.) it should be a pretty good woofer. re stuff was fairly impressive for its time, and china surely has the capability to build a nice woofer at a nice price! Also- the owner is a helluva great guy.

I used a pair of Level 4 15s w/ level 5 coils for a bit. They sounded great and got decently loud. Played the low notes excellent. Better than my Fi Bls. I was always squeemish about the really soft spider setup though. For the most part I ran a Sundown saz-3000d on them @ 1ohm but kept the gain set conservatively low cause these things move easily. At one competition I swapped in a pair of saz-1500s @ 0.5ohm each just to burp it and they hit a 149flat sealed on the TL. Not bad but they were over 2db lower than what I hit with my NightShades in the same setup. SQ was waaayy better though. The box was 6ft net with four 4" ports tuned to 33hz and then 36hz. 33hz was great for the lows and played chopped & screwed music excellently but IMO 36hz was better for daily driving with different types of music.

I ran 2 12" Level 4's ported with a zx2500.1 and loved them. My 15" BTL is considerably louder with the same amount of power though.

I liked my Level4's! Hit the lows better then my BL's. I think the BL's could take the abuse a little more though.
