dc level 4 vs. hdc3 vs sdc 2.5

i have already owned 2 sdc 2.5 12's and they were loud and sounded very good but failed thermally for daily (my bro is a tard) so i have been lookin at these subs. like i said before the sd2.5's played very LOW and flat (peaked at 35hz and was .3db down at 40 hz) so my dilemma is i have heard hdc3s are louder on the same power than the sd's and if they sound the same and get louder and handle the power better (grunch 3k) i would like to have them.

but recenlty i have been lookin at these dc sounds subs and they look very nice for the price but i odnt want to get subs and they be less of a sub then the sdc's for more money:crap: the sdcs are 330 shipped, hdc3s are 540 shipped and the dcs are like 400 shipped. the only bad thing is ill have to set the gains lower and such to run the dcs cuz they are dual 2.

so i would like the sub gurus opinions on this. the box is 4 cubes tuned around 35hz with 70 ish inches of port area.

not saying you would be dissapointed with DC but it seems like you already favor the AQ's over the DC's. if I were you I'd stick with what you are familiar with. btw what did you do with your blow sdc?

I love my DC sub and Rusty is top notch when it comes to customer service. I cannot compare the sound or performance to AQ because I've never ran them but don't be afraid to order anything from DC.

My level 4 10" is a beast sitting on the flor next to me.. Can;t wait to get it installed and going in the next few weeks.

i have both of the motors sitting in my room if anyone wants to buy them....

i would like to hear sum dcs in person but if i dont get any good reviews ill just buy hdc3s

From what i've heard, the hdc3 are only louder then the sd2.5 once you get over 1200-1400watt on each, and not by much... I think Dj says that the sd2.5 sound better on music too

i have never personally heard hdc3's but i have heard 3 sets of sdc 2.5's. so idk id really like the dc's but dk if i can get them in dual 4 like i really need :/

Yep DJ says the SDC's are just as loud as the HDC's up to the 600 watt/sub limit of the SDC's. Mine thumped very hard

i just traded my 15" AQ hdc3 d2 for a DC lvl 4 15" d2 and i would have to say they are about the same loudness on 1200rms and the DC sounds wayy better imo

i'm running my bxi2006d at 1ohm on those and even with abuse ( some clipping and voltage drop), I still haven't smelled anything.

Pretty impressive subs, especialy at that selling price

but the DCs level4 look so nice too. Car audio habit ain't easy
