Got an 08' model 15" Kicker L7 in a prefab enclosure. DVC 2ohm. Measures 22" x 17" x 16" and tuned to 38hz. I haven't bought an amp yet and wanted to see how much power people are pushing their L7's? Working with a $200 budget. I seen some bxi1206d going for $170 on eBay. Or would this sub handle 1600wrms off an Hifonics amp?

that hifonics amp is really pushing prolly 1200-1300 rms

a 15" l7 is 1000 watts rms and can EASILY take 1200, little more possibly so that amp might be fine, just set gain settings accordingly

id get an audioque aq1200d and run it at 1 ohm tho, its 249$ shipped and puts out a little more than 1200rms. great amp.
