DC Leve 6 m4 15 box size?

What's the recommend box size for the level 6 15? Word of mouth says 3.5, the site says 3.

i know people who use large boxes and some swear by smaller boxes. not to mention that the have several suspension options so that may be an issue too.
I sent my DATS over to a guy here and he tested his level 5s. I've been told and see plenty of installs where they use typical alignments....

3 cubes....I had 2 lvl 6 15s in 7.5 cubes....then 7cubes...then 6cubes...6 cubes was the best....other 2 boxes bottomed out on below rated power

you should try a few enclosures.

guy here have 2 lvl 6s in 8 cubes per with a 4kw doing mid 150s..

He's been through 2 boxes so far. We'll see how this one does. He was getting a bunch of rise so we are trying to lower than some. Make the air flow a little better

yea typical of that design. just grab a pair of dual 1s and run the at 1/4 ohm. it will still rise to around 1.2. seen the exact same thing with the level 5 12s..

My two level 5 m1 18s setup gained when i shrank the 12 cube enclosure down to 10.

It was in a 6th order, his rear port was too small for the power of these woofers. He was getting too much rise from that I believe.

What frequency does he burp? Seems to me you could just go with a larger box than 3 cube if you're burping around 50hz you're not going to be hitting x-max unless he has 8-10KW on tap.
