dc audio lev5 12 d2 or sundown nightshade d2 18

ok so i done some trading and got this dc lev 5 last weekend it needs a new box and would have one made if i keep it but i had a guy that wants to trade me a sundown nightshade 18 i think

it's a v1 but not sure i am looking to hit a 144 to a 146 with one sub i have a dd m3 and wanted to know what yall think i have had 3 people tell me to do it but lmk what yall think i just don't wanna trade and then blow the 18 because it handles less watts so i hope some of yall reply to tihis and thanks alot i just got rid of 4 sa v 1.5 8s they where doing 135.3 on 32 hz and before that i was doing 142.8 with 2 cvx 12 on 1700 watts so please lmk if you think i should stick with the lve5 or trade for the ns 18 trade will go down this sunday afternoon

Theyre both great subs but me personally, Id stay with the lvl 5. Also, that sundown ns should handle your amp just fine as long as you have it set up properly.

Cone area bro. Cone area. If you can fit the box for the 18, if it was me I would definitely do that. Although I think the level 5 motor is better (does someone know for sure?), so if you were willing to recone in the future with a bigger size, that may be a better route.

yea a guy i know was asking me about turning the 12 into a 15 or 18 and i would think about doing it if needed

both motors are great, it depends on power application and what ur trying to accomplish..

both woofers will handle 3kw without clipping.

Can't really go wrong either way. I'd keep the DC.
