DB'S went down from before

hey what's up ya'll?

I just had my stereo measured for DB'S and i was dissapointed.

here is what i had before.

2 12" jensen bass sub's 1200watt amp.

i hit 141.7db's

now i have 2 12" rockford HE2'S same amp and i put a 1.2 cap.

i hit 140.7db's

i am using a prtty big ported box.,

i am wondering why it went down.

Could it be because the box is too big for the sub's?

the jensen's were 525w

and the rockford's are 800wdvc

i had to use a higher frequency with new ones.

what type of enclosure are the RF's in??? That could also be a reason...

There are a LOT of mics out there that just are on your window.

What did the mic look like?

I can believe it even if all other variables are equal. Chances are the Jensens are more efficient then the RFs since lower end equipment tends to have higher sensitivity then more expensive equipment that in general needs more power to be driven properly. Of course, that doesn't mean the Jensens will sound as good or take as much power as the RFs.

So what other things should i do to get more db's from what i got?
