DB-R's top picks for WORST amplifier design..

And like I say, and know what we repair also versus what is sold, I agree, that is your opinion, and we have thousands of satisfied customers, and that's per SKU, not a general statement. And how you, being in a repair business for less than 3 years, can call out ANY manufacture for having faulty products is beyond me, and for people to have more trust in your hearsay than manufactures that have been in business for many, many years.

You will not 'grow' your business, slandering any manfactures.

KICKER Audio products are designed and manufactured by Stillwater Designs, headquartered in Stillwater, Oklahomo.

I meant this statement^, by itself is misleading. I don't know if it was taken out of context, but this statement, by itself, is misleading. The wording makes it sound as though everything (including production) is done in OK. Again not trying to bash as I like some of the products kicker makes.
all that is done in house, but where does it say 'produced' and 'assembled'?

It hasn't been any secret since 2000.

You can look at it from another point of view also. A large company is just trying to sell stuff and trying to discredit the repairman for his finds and opinions. dB-r just fixes amps that get sent to him.

I think dB-r has legit opinions on this. I can see where he is coming from.

Your full of crap, I will still be here repairing amps for a long time after Kicker has bit the dust. We will just have to see won't we? Mr. Kicker... I probably called and spoke with you about box specifications etc back in the day when you were in your first 3 years of employment with Kicker... don't tell me I don't know jack shit.

Manufacturers will feed their customers a line of BS to sell them a product, I won't feed noone a line of BS to get their repair business. My work speaks for itself. Look around I don't see any complaints.

and I feel the same way about your assumptions. Kicker has been in business since 1973, so good luck to you, and your ventures.

So what YOU repaired, makes 100% fact, based assumptions? Ask you this, you see amps, from customers, did you see how the amps were treated, installed, voltage, impedence,etc,etc....if not, then you have no clue to the history of that amp. Same way looking at a used woofer. You can't 'look' at it, and assume it was powered correctly, installed sealed, ported, bandpass,isobaric,etc.........

The factory needs to do a better job of soldering the Emitter Ballast resistors on the Class AB KX series amps. That's it. They become "unsoldered" after a while, due to heat or vibration, both of which is normal things that affect any amplifier, the KX series Class AB amps just like it less because of the bad soldering on the Emitter Ballast resistors. Do everyone a favor and pass that on to your factory. Also get a better input board for the KX Series, the one you have is too delicate and is always burning traces in half for the slightest error in installation. I don't see this problem in other amps, so yes, it's a "Kicker KX" thing.

Yeah, I have worked on the ZX's too. I don't really have many recommendations on those, just maybe a beefier power supply, just to handle a little more abuse. Matter of fact I own a ZX series amp, a ZX750.1, but I haven't really used it yet. Kinda like the L5 subs, just sitting there. I don't have time to install stuff in my truck, I been busy with my repair work, people (and manufacturers) are keeping me plenty busy.

I believe after your insults to kicker as a whole, Tracy could care less about your observations. To be completely honest you should probably just drop the argument. Its a poor reflection of yourself...
