dB measuering on my DDM, HELP!!!!

trying to find the resonance frequency of my car.......and i knwo i can use an analog multimeter to find the the peaks, but how do i do ti with my dmm? i see a setting for sound.dB? but i dotn knwo what to do, do i just sit in the car and play it and the meter will gimme a reading like the analog will?what do i do?

Measuring dBs with a DMM? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif i havent seen one with a SPL readout, but sit in there and play each individual frequency, whichever is loudest is gonna be close to what you are looking for

ya thats what im trying to do, im just not sure if there's anything extra i need for my dmm in order to do that. not looking to measure spl, just finding which frequency peaks higher.....
