Ported box for 2 IDMax 12s

I have decided to go ported with my 2 Idmaxs...What would you recommend for port type, slot vs. round? This is mainly for spl not too much sq needed. I have about 600watts RMS to go to each sub so I am thinking 2.55cuft tuned to 28hz per sub should be gravy. I have built plenty of sealed boxes but never ported so I think in building perspective a round port is going to be the easiest, I dont know if I have the abilities to build a slot vented type box or if I should just pay someone to build slot style if its worth it, what do you guys say?

You've got the wrong subs for SPL on top of that, 28hz is not SPL.

Ive been told that the Idmaxs ported should be very loud...I used to have 2 12" Type Rs ported and those things Slammed and was told the IDMaxs would be louder...Is this true and would I want to tune the box higher??
