DB Drive platinum amps?

whats your thoughts on the DB Drive platinum series amps?

i just got 2 of the P2000.1D's in and im half tempted to hook them up.. never used them before, has anyone? these things are built like tanks and come with duel 0gauge -and+ inputs

idk man, just the name makes me run in fear for the name. Db, but, take them for a test drive and let us know how they preform

im hesitant to use them, i have them for sale, if i demo use them i have to eat them cost wise, and then sell them as used =/ but **** there ****!!

but im half tempted to hook them up tomorrow

Actually, IIRC these are good amps. Ran often in competition builds due to being able to run @ 18volts. I almost bought one a while back did alot of research on them. I would use them

Also these are the platinum line, the only "good" line DB has.

I have 2 of them. They have clean sound, but they get really hot. I don't even know how it plays that long without going into protect? I have mine strapped. The slave amp gets hotter than the master amp, but they don't cut off. I've never had a dclass amp get as hot as the p2000.1d. I might switch to Hifonics or something else that runs cooler because all of that heat can't be good. I still don't think the Hifonics will sound better, just run cooler. I have 2 batteries in the back, and my voltage is holding at 13.1 on big bass drops. They have been solid amps so far except for the heat.
