Dayton 8" install (pics)

Nice, I cant imagine the difference having 8'' in the front. The soundstage must sound soo much better with having that much low end comming from the front.
very true. the only problem with having an 8 is it killed my imaging and hopefully i can get it back with a mid-range driver.

i cant wait to get my subs installed, usps has lost them so maybe this week they will show up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif

I need to get up off my lazy *** and finish bondo/sanding my pods lol. Also, where did you put your tweeters? The Dayton ones I have are like huge home audio style, I had to build pods and put them in the kick panels. I have no freaking idea where i'm gonna put the midranges. I'll have to build like little pods on the dash I'm guessing. Where are you putting everything?

well i built my tweeters into my a-pillars since they were freaking monsters and wouldnt fit anywhere else.

and i am going to put my mid-range in the kick panel.

Hey Magic, your running that p4004 bridged on your dayton 8's and sending them 200 watts a piece?

Reason I ask is I just got my first listen to mine in my .45 ft^3 enclosures and they seem starved for power. I'm only sending mine 65 watts (running 50hz to 500). I'm trying to figure out if my problem is a lack of power, a lack of space, or maybe a little of both.

well actually right now i am sending them about 100 watts from a crossfire cfa202

i am getting the rockford in the next week or so.

and it might actually end up running the tweeters and dome mids instead of the 8's

with the arc running the 8's

**** batman i just ordered these for my 2001 miata. stock openings are 8 inch for the bose! hahaha we'll see how it goes.
that would kick *** if you could just drop them in stock location.

but i would immagine they are deeper than the factory bose setup.

and maybe some day i will finish my doors.

i havent touched them since i took the last pictures //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

i really need to work on them but since it is just so hot here i cant seem to get the motivation to get out there in the heat and work on them.

someday i will finish and it will be a great day //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
